Consider a range of investigative tools for effective comparative analyses.
Discover the most effective way to structure your comparative response in your SACs and exam.
Broaden your knowledge of the different literary devices that authors use to create meaning, and to
influence the interpretation of a text.
Observe how to use textual evidence to effectively support your analysis of structural and language
elements relevant to the text.
Learn how to dissect and respond to the different types of comparative prompts and the
questions you should ask yourself when analysing your texts.
Learn to recognise and appreciate the differences between low, mid and high scoring responses
and discover the various practices that result in lower comparative text response marks.
Discover how and where you should focus your efforts so you can obtain the highest possible marks
in this challenging section of the English course.
Cover strategies you can use to convey strong critical faculties, an in-depth understanding of literary
elements and how they influence meaning and interpretation, and that demonstrate your ability
to construct sophisticated, insightful inferences to support your contention.
